Second marriage

Second marriage, with dignity

For Telugu and South Indian families where someone is marrying again — divorced, widowed or separated. Your profile starts out visible to signed-in members only, and nobody can reach you until you have agreed to it.

Free to register. Messaging is part of a paid membership.

  • Your photo is shown to signed-in members only
  • Your phone number is not part of what a profile shows
  • Contact opens when both sides agree

What happens to your privacy

This is usually the first question, so it is the first answer.

  • Your profile is for signed-in members

A new profile is set to members-only, so someone who has not signed in cannot open it. Widening that is a setting on your profile, and it stays your decision.

  • You decide who sees your photographs

Photo visibility is a setting on your profile, and you can narrow it at any time. Adding a photograph is your choice, not a requirement to register.

  • Your contact details stay yours

Your phone number and email address are not part of what a profile shows. They become visible only after you and the other family have both accepted, and only on a paid plan.

  • Nobody reaches you uninvited

Interest has to be expressed and accepted before contact opens, and messaging is part of a paid membership — so there is no channel for unsolicited approaches.

What is different this time

Marrying again is an ordinary thing to be doing, and the profile treats it that way. Divorced, widowed and separated are options on the form, not a footnote, and you can set which of them you are open to in your partner preferences — so the profiles you are shown, and the people who see yours, already know.

You are not asked to explain yourself in a public biography. Say as much or as little as you want to, and have the rest of the conversation when you are ready to have it.

What we promise, and nothing we cannot keep

A person reads every profile

Your profile is read and approved by a member of our team before it appears in anyone’s search results. Nothing goes live automatically.

Photos are for signed-in members

Profile photos are shown to signed-in members, not to the open internet, and you choose how widely they are shared from your privacy settings.

Contact opens only by mutual consent

No one can reach you until you have both expressed interest. Messaging is part of a paid plan, so families talk only once both sides have agreed to it.

What registering involves

Five steps, and we are direct about the one that costs money. The profile has to be complete enough to be reviewed before it will save, so fill it in when you have an unhurried moment.

  1. Create your account

An email address and a password, or your Google account. You can add and verify a mobile number as well.

  2. Fill in your profile

Name, date of birth, gender, caste, mother tongue, city and state, height, education and profession. The profile will not save until those are in — a half-empty profile cannot be reviewed, and it would never be shown to anyone.

  3. Say what you are looking for

Age, height, marital status and background preferences. These are required before your profile can go live, because they are what your matches are drawn from.

  4. A person reviews it

We read the profile and approve it. Until that happens it does not appear in search results or recommendations.

  5. Interest first, then contact

You express interest and they accept, or the other way round. Contact opens only after that, and sending messages is part of a paid plan.

About the paid step. Registering, building your profile, being matched and expressing interest cost nothing. Sending and reading messages is part of a paid membership — you can see what each plan includes on the membership plans page before you decide.

Who runs MSMatrimony

MSMatrimony was founded by Madhavi Sharma, a Vedic astrologer of the Telugu community.

The service is run by a small team that reads every profile before it is shown. If something on the site concerns you, our contact page reaches a person, and our safety guidance explains how to report a profile and what happens next.

Questions people ask us

Will people I know see that I have registered?
A new profile is set to members-only, so it cannot be opened by someone who has not signed in, and your photographs are shown only to signed-in members until you narrow that further. Your phone number and email address are not part of what a profile shows.
Is a second marriage treated differently here?
No. Divorced, widowed and separated are ordinary options on the profile, and you can say which of them you are open to in what you are looking for — so the matches you see already accept your situation.
Can someone message me out of the blue?
No. Interest has to be expressed and accepted by both sides before contact opens at all, and sending messages is part of a paid membership.
What if a profile or a message concerns me?
You can report a profile from the profile itself, and a person on our team reviews it. Our safety guidance explains what happens next and how to block someone.
What does it cost to register?
Registering, building your profile, being matched and expressing interest are free. Messaging is part of a paid membership, and the membership plans page lists what each plan includes.
